Pet Bread

Cardstock triangles, toothpicks, a plastic rose, a peppermint candy, a broken keychain, a unicorn button, and dried plant/flower material from my room and the courtyard are embedded in a loaf of cinnamon bread from Broadway Market.
Sweater made from rug

Sweater made from rug is a sweater made from a rug that had previously been taken apart in Taking Something Apart. The rug is divided into six panels and put together with various knotting techniques.

Taking Something Apart

Taking Something Apart is a rug from the Recycling and Surplus Center on 175 North Harvard St. in Allston. Untying the knots on one side and pulling apart selective areas of the rug caused the emergence of new patterns, an increase in pink from the interior scrap material, and a general increase in the area taken up by the rug.

Scrap material that left the weave of the rug is arranged in a pile on top of blue foam board and placed next to a plant found in the studio to provide a temporary studio space for the rug.
